Clean cycle ways

T. McElligott•1 month ago If you are going to have cycle paths please make sure they are swept by brush regularly because at present puncture from broken glass is a daily hazard. It is safer to ride in the road, which can be very precarious at best times due to poor and fast driving with no indication where they are going. Most important though is keeping the cycle paths present and proposed clean.

82 Northdown Road, shop derelict space

T. McElligott•1 year ago This shop at 82 Northdown Road has been left derelict for around a decade now with smashed and boarded up windows. It's past time it was taken and let out to someone who would care for it and improve the area with a business the street needs.

Derelict development and land on corner of Northdown Road and Athelstan Road

T. McElligott•1 year ago There is a filthy rat infested wasteground behind unsafe heras fencing on the junction of Northdown Road and Athelstan Road. It needs making safe and cleaning up. Buildings are open and being used by homeless people at night. This is prime land for redevelopment and TDC need to make sure it gets back into use ASAP. It has lain derelict for too many years to mention since the illegal car wash was closed down by Police and Trading standards.

Waste of time without proper enforcement in place

T. McElligott•2 years ago None of the parking review suggestions will make a difference unless Thanet District Council employs lots of Parking Enforcement Officers. They will need at least 20 to cover all towns and villages in Thanet, especially with all the new homes being built and all the extra vehicles that will bring in. It is already chaos in Thanet a lot of the time with dangerous parking seen daily on street and on pavements by persistent offenders, TDC need to get a grip on this 'now', and as their top priority within the Parking office. You can have all the parking regulations you like but it seems ridiculous to think they can enforce all this without a largely increased team of parking officers. Regulations just on their own are simply not enough to make any difference at all.
