Princess Margaret // Playground Consultation
The Tenant and Leaseholder Services have highlighted some playgrounds that need improving in Thanet. The playgrounds will undergo consultation from local residents in that area.
Our second focus is: Princess Margaret Avenue playground in Ramsgate.

Phases
Update - Installation of new playground equipment
Princess Margaret Avenue - New playground coming in July 2026.
Work has started to install the new play equipment and is due to be completed the week starting Monday 6 July 2026.
Wicksteed is the contractor who is installing the new equipment. The playground is locked and we ask people not to access the area while the work is being carried out.
Design and equipment
The layout and equipment chosen by the local community are the same.
The good news is that the climbing frames have been upgraded from the proposed wooden frame to metal frames. We’ve also added an additional slide (B Simple Simon) for younger children.
We are keeping the existing swing and resurfacing the ground under the swing.
