
Princess Margaret // Playground Consultation
The Tenant and Leaseholder Services have highlighted some playgrounds that need improving in Thanet. The playgrounds will undergo consultation from local residents in that area.
Our second focus is: Princess Margaret Avenue playground in Ramsgate.

Overall the favourite design was Option 2

Great news, the playground design with the most votes was Option 2.
63.4% of those that took part in the survey, chose Option 2 as their favourite.
32% liked Option 3 and 4.7% liked Option 1.
A total of 172 residents participated in the consultation, 119 were children.
Residents Voice
The following feedback represents the sentiment of the majority of comments. Residents told us they wanted inclusive play equipment and disabled access.
Feedback on Option 1
Residents liked the wheelchair roundabout and noted it was more suitable for younger children.
Feedback on Option 2
Residents liked the mixed ability and the inclusion of inclusive equipment for less abled children.
Feedback on Option 3
Residents liked the spinner and the slide, but mentioned it was not suitable for toddlers.
Next Steps:
- We have started the process of finding a suitable contractor to refurbish the playground.
- We anticipate work to start Summer/ Autumn 2025.
