Museum Review

Thanet District Council is carrying out a strategic review of Thanet’s council-run museums, in partnership with Haley Sharpe Design. The museums included in the review are the Dickens House Museum in Broadstairs, and the Margate Museum and Tudor House in Margate.

The review will help the council to define options for the future of each museum.

Alongside the review, the council is commissioning full structural surveys of the buildings. These will inform the level of capital investment needed to repair the buildings, and bring the museums up to modern requirements.

Members of the public are invited to take part in an online survey from Monday 29 January 2024. The deadline for submission of surveys is 5pm on Friday 16 February 2024.
