Thanet District Council is inviting people to feed back on plans to create safer and easier walking and cycling routes across the district.

Thanet District Council’s Housing Assistance Policy outlines the help available for people in Thanet to improve their living conditions. Grants can be awarded to cover the cost of repairing, improving or adapting homes, if certain criteria are met.

In Thanet, biodiversity is the "all-star cast" of living things that makes our coastline and countryside unique. We are proposing a new Biodiversity Strategy for Thanet. It’s a plan to help protect, enhance and restore biodiversity in the area. We’re asking for your views before it’s finalised.

Our Tenant Management Policy applies to everyone living in council-owned homes. We are inviting people living in housing owned by the council to give their views on the proposed changes.

We are proposing to build 25 new homes at Highfield Road in Ramsgate. If approved, these homes will be let at a genuinely affordable rent to local people on the Housing Register, some who need specially adapted homes due to disabilities or long-term health conditions.

Public Spaces Protection Orders provide the council with a wide range of flexible powers to help tackle antisocial behaviour locally. A PSPO is proposed for Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs. We welcome your views on the proposed restrictions.
