Winter Gardens and other

Mark Cutts•4 years ago A number of questions:Why is there so much red tape? why do things like this and decisions in thanet take so long? Isn't it baffling to spend money on a feasibility study to determine what the council already know? its an entertainment facility and the public want it to stay that way? Who is managing that budget to ensure its spent properly? Its understood the building is in a state of disrepair? this is common for TDC Owned assets, why don't you manage these better? and avoid costly repairs? Why don't you encourage more business investment, rather than building houses? as we know this is likely to be houses on the WG Site due to the costly repair bill of the venue. Thanet is a mass of people with no work, with all of the new houses.

Thanet District Council (Open and honest)

Mark Cutts•4 years ago Why cant we have an open and honest Public Consultation? from the comments above you can see the public don't support TDC. It certainly does appear that TDC are not concerned about the public. I hope you'll go through each and every comment and provide a comprehensive answer as we deserve it.

Feasibility Study (300k)

Mark Cutts•4 years ago Who costed this study? Do you have a detailed breakdown as to whats included? Will the public see the detailed assessment? I suspect it should be quite detailed with reports, drawings and historical information? Along with a proposed future use, cost of repairs, margate's night life, expected footfall through tourism at different points in the years etc.I cant see this costing 300k and you could set up a small detailed team who could work with the venue, the public and investors/businesses to develop a plan? this would be better than assessing a venue that historically works? you just need the right team in place? with good teams and funding. I have no experience running a venue like this, but i can see the potential i guess what the public are asking is the basics, ie show us the details and expenses to justify spending our money, show us behind the scenes and bring us into your thinking...

Parking in thanet

Mark Cutts•3 years ago We very rarely go down Ramsgate town, we don't go because of the lack of parking, the multi story is disgusting and expensive and we'll only go to get chips, Ramsgate town needs a 20mins drop off area or a short stay where you can pop to the shop or collect something, the other thing is adequate enforcement across many areas, ensuring people park appropriately and finally those who have drives but decide to park on street and block the views of others when getting on and off there own drives.
