William Clarke3 years ago In order to decongest the towns, why not introduce a Park and Ride system from Thanet Parkway Station. There is plenty of parking at the station, and this could serve all three Thanet towns. The service would primarily be intended for tourists and would also benefit by regular use of the new station. Proper enforcement throughout the towns would discourage illegal parking, particularly during peak times. Reintroducing paper parking permits for residents with a scannable code, or QR code, would help enforcement officers to quickly identify residents vehicles from visitors/non-permit holders. In the long term, finding an extra car park for Broadstairs would be beneficial. Could the council use a school car park during the summer holidays?
