Residence only parking in streets close to the Broadstairs High Street, and a limit on the number vehicles per household that can be parked in the street. As an example, there are 13 spaces on the road in my street, and one household parks up to 5 cars, another home has 3 cars and a dropped curb, plus there are 2 large airbnbs that also take up the limited spaces at weekends. Other streets nearby and close to the High Street also share the same problems.

It is extremely difficult for residents of Sea View Terrace, Westbrook. Parking is free and unrestricted, as it is in the surrounding streets. It is often impossible to park in our road, or indeed anywhere close by. Airbnbers, concert goers and day trippers just fill everywhere up. We have frequently had to park about 300 yards down Royal Esplanade, a 15 minute walk away, on a weekend evening. We would 100% support priority parking for residents here and in similarly affected streets.

Totally with you on that it’s the same in the side roads in Westgate, full of 5 car families, people who don’t want to pay to park in station and of course the day trippers. Residents can’t get anywhere near their properties during the summer months.
