Parking is ridiculous and ridiculously getting worse. St pauls road Cliftonville is becoming a night mare. This should be made into permit holders only. As we have to contend with the community center visitors and the play school that is held there week days also the clinic that is on the opposite side of the road. Also shop workers from Northdown road Parking. Also abandoned cars that only move 3/4 times a month. Infact the whole is ridiculous something needs to be done. Cars are parked so close together that cars are getting damaged and in the event of a fire this could create a domino affect of cars on fire. Also I think that cars that have sat for a long period of time should be forced to move as there is a mechanic in sweyne road who has loads of cars and that haven't moved in years and you never see them being fixed. He must have at least 10 cars all parked up. Tdc come on sort it out.

We have parking permits in Sion Hill, Ramsgate and it works reasonably well - BUT and it’s a big BUT disabled badge holders can park on our bays indefinitely as there is no time limit - quite often we have more DB than PHolders, surely there should be a time limit, as at the moment they can go on holiday and leave their cars on our paid for bays for weeks!!

I totally agree with you. I come from the Westbrook area near Nayland Rock. Not once in the summer have I been able to park near my house, people going on trains for the day or even a week or two park down those side roads. On the off chance that you can park in your road God forbid you need to go out again as then your back to square one. I get that tourism brings money to the town but at the expense of residents who cannot park anywhere near their own property! Permit parking is needed in a lot of streets around Margate and tourists should just have to pay to use car parks. Plus surely parking permits would bring more money in to the council? The only down side would be that visitors ignore that, park anyway and no traffic wardens to be seen so we could end up paying for nothing I guess?
