Pavement parking

Not what I meant - pavements are much too wide when so few people walk on most of them. We need space for cars, not people. Widen the roads to take up parts of pavements on both sides or mainly on one side so there are wider roads and cars do not need to park on pavements

If you only have pavements on one side of the road half the homes in the road would not have pavement access. You would be stepping out of your home strait on to the road..Not very safe..

In most streets nowadays there are far more cars than pedestrians. Maybe make the pavement on one side of the road an extra lane for cars!!

Parking on pavements needs to be stopped. It can not be right having cars and vans parked on the pavement and people walking on the road!

I understand about very narrow roads and if there is a reduced speed limit then yes it could be understandable but not on main roads as I already said I do not like or think it is safe to walk in the road so cars etc can park on the pavement.

This comment is wrong. 1. Many councils are introducing on-pavement car parking to allow for extra cars to be parked in narrow roads. 2. Pavement parking also reduces the number of car and people accidents because it allows for greater spaces on roads for cars to pass each other. 3. We need more pavement parking.
