In order to decongest the towns, why not introduce a Park and Ride system from Thanet Parkway Station. There is plenty of parking at the station, and this could serve all three Thanet towns. The service would primarily be intended for tourists and would also benefit by regular use of the new station.

Proper enforcement throughout the towns would discourage illegal parking, particularly during peak times.

Reintroducing paper parking permits for residents with a scannable code, or QR code, would help enforcement officers to quickly identify residents vehicles from visitors/non-permit holders.

In the long term, finding an extra car park for Broadstairs would be beneficial. Could the council use a school car park during the summer holidays?

What an excellent idea, the use of school grounds (paved areas) for parking during school holidays and maybe out of hours. Come on TDC and KCC give this some serious thought. It could be made to work and work well in the interests of all.

This is a brilliant idea, would really help decongest Thanet in the busy summer
