I have proposed before, and am proposing again that the site to the north of Mocketts Wood (I believe still owned by the London based Mocketts Trust) could be turned into a natural burial site, through negotiation with the owners. Natural Burials are increasing in popularity, are better for CO2 emissions and nature. This location would provide a green corridor between the graveyard at St Peters and Mocketts Wood: providing a location for an alternative to burials with headstones; or CO2 heavy cremation; would save families a lot of expense and would put a stop to the Mockett's Trust proposing housing at every opportunity. This land is within the green wedge and the development would be consistent with the current Local Plan. There is also a heritage and cultural connection to burials in this area, as there is evidence of Anglo Saxon burials nearby Anglo-Saxon cemetery, Dane Valley Road, Broadstairs and St. Peters - Thanet | Historic England
