Illegal parking, lack of traffic wardens and/or police
From "Parking in Thanet"
Go to the project
Drivers park illegally on yellow lines, pavements and on corners blocking people’s view of oncoming traffic. Just as dangerous are ignorant cyclists and electric scooter users on pavements, promenades and roads. Going the wrong way towards oncoming traffic and pedestrians. Where are the police or traffic wardens.

Totally agree, also cyclists on non allocated footpaths and basically no enforcement over the whole of Thanet.

Moving around Thanet is a nightmare, vehicles parked right on footpaths and a lot of the time on yellow lines or both ,parked on corners so you are unable to use the footpaths to cross roads and to see on coming traffic, my wife is disabled and uses a mobility scooter she has trouble getting along the footpaths and getting across the roads due to vehicles parked on the paths, most days she doesn't go out because of this problem, there is also a big problem of cars running red traffic lights, this happens on crossing lights too .
