Park Option 1:
Pros: Beginners miniramp
Potential for change: Pulling the bowls together to open up options for transfers (spines, hips, box jump). Also some textures in the street would be cool i.e brick quarter or bank.
Cons: no flow/rythem to the entire layout
Park Option 2:
Pros: A lot more flow in the layout it seems. Looks like some textures on the ramps
Potential for change: Pulling the bowls together and make a spine/volcano between them. The addition of a sub box ledge at the top of a flat bank.
Cons: Depth and hieghts is not immediately clear from the drawing.
Rememeber to cater for all wheeled sports is really important and inclusivity in skateparks is so important for the culture. Bmxers, skaters, bladers, scooters and all. Over all this is a really positive step forward for a park in margate that has been in conversation for 18 years.
I would love to see the skate community grow further and for the bmx community to return to what it was when Ramsgate prefab was still there.
